As a Physical Therapist, you will utilize various treatments to help patients increase strength, range of motion, endurance and coordination. Because this position requires close physical interaction, you have the unique opportunity to develop strong patient relationships. The ideal Physical Therapist is a highly skilled and adaptable professional dedicated to restoring function, improving mobility and enhancing patient outcomes. This individual demonstrates strong critical thinking skills in evaluating and developing treatment plans while effectively collaborating with physicians, co-workers and support staff. They excel in prioritizing patient care, ensuring safety awareness/patient safety and adapting techniques to provide individualized care. Often, patients are dealing with pain, so sensitivity is essential. Equally important is giving patients the drive and support they need to work hard and regain their health. This is an ideal role for a new grad who is open-minded, willing to step outside of their comfort zone and is looking to get their foot in the door. This is a great steppingstone position that will allow you to advance your skills with each patient interaction and one that can lead to a full-time role and beyond. A PRN caregiver in this position works varying shifts, Monday-Friday, between 7:00AM – 7:30PM. Only two shifts per week will be required past 5:00PM. Hours will vary based on clinic needs.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or certificate
Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association
Current State licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Responsibilities

Evaluate and conduct medically prescribed physical therapy treatment programs.
Perform initial and on-going assessments of patient's condition.
Establish, revise and evaluate a plan of care which is appropriate to problems identified and involves the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.
Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
Supervise activities of physical therapy assistants, students and other support personnel.
