About The Position

Bartlett Regional Hospital is looking for a Physical Therapist to join our Rehabilitation Services team! This position may be working in Inpatient Services, Outpatient Services or Home Health Services to cover weekend shifts. The Physical Therapist uses exercise and modalities in the treatment of pain and movement disorders to help restore normal movement and function in accordance to the physician’s referral. Participates in other hospital committees and teams as appropriate. Essential functions include but are not limited to supporting Bartlett Regional Hospital’s strong commitment to the highest standards of business and professional ethics. Follows professional standards of APTA. Provides services in compliance with all state and federal laws governing the hospital’s operations. Consistently maintains confidentiality of all medical, financial, employee, computer or other information, which might jeopardize the privacy of others. Works as a team member to meet patient and departmental goals.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an APTA approved School of Physical Therapy with a Bachelors, Masters or Doctoral Degree.
  • Completes annual educational requirements.
  • Current State of Alaska Physical Therapist License
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Current auto liability insurance
  • Reliable transportation is required if assigned to Home Care Services.
  • All new employees are required to produce a negative drug screen for all illegal substances in the State of Alaska prior to the start of employment.

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of Physical Therapist experience.
  • Experience working with diverse populations including inpatient CCU, acute, and rehab as well as outpatient services, including pediatrics.

Benefits

  • In lieu of fringe benefits, Casual employees will receive a $2.00 per hour differential in addition to their hourly rate.
