About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation in Midlothian, TX is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join their dynamic multi-disciplinary team. This outpatient role involves treating a variety of neurological diagnoses such as CVA, TBI, Parkinson's, Multiple Sclerosis, and Vestibular conditions, as well as general orthopedic, gait, and balance conditions. The ideal candidate will be a team player with strong communication and differential diagnosis skills. New graduates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

• Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
• Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment or as required by state regulations.

Nice To Haves

• Competent and confident treating a variety of Neurological diagnoses, including CVA, TBI, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis, and Vestibular conditions, in addition to treating general Ortho, gait and balance conditions.
• Team player, self-directed, and innovative, with good communication and differential diagnosis skills.

Responsibilities

• Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment
• Patient Case Load Average: 10-12 patients a day
• Timely and accurate documentation using Therapy Source
• Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data including medical notes and surgery reports
• Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately
• Promoting continuous quality improvement
• Instructing and counseling patients/families as needed
