About The Position

Presbyterian Healthcare Services is seeking a Physical Therapist for their Outpatient Services. This role offers the opportunity to transform patient outcomes and build a career within a collaborative and patient-focused outpatient rehabilitation department. Physical Therapists are movement experts who improve quality of life through hands-on care, patient education, and prescribed movement, working as a team with physical therapy assistants to treat people of all ages and abilities. The department emphasizes orientation and mentorship for new team members. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • NM License of Physical Therapy required.
  • BLS required at time of hire.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctor of Physical Therapy Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates patients, develops plans and goals, and implements treatment programs for improvement of physical or developmental dysfunction and independence in activities of daily living.
  • Continuously reassesses treatment plans and goals.
  • Educates and instructs regarding home programs and preventive measures as appropriate to patient, family, and others.
  • Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the department in a timely manner.
  • Communicates with patient, family, physician, and other healthcare providers regarding patient care.
  • Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  • Participates in educational programs and inservices and other meetings as required.
  • Participates on special project teams and other related duties as assigned and requested
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Evaluate and treat infants, children, and adolescents for various health conditions.
  • Addressing motor development, strength, range of motion, endurance, balance, coordination, gait, etc.
  • Interviewing children and family members, using physical examination to diagnose movement disorder.
  • Ability to evaluate and treat patient from 18yrs old and older.
  • Float to adult units if needed if pediatric patient census fluctuates.
  • Evaluates and treats pediatric patients from birth to 18yrs old, regarding the application of a wide variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical function and developmental disorders.
