About The Position

Heartline Staffing is hiring a Physical Therapist for an acute care hospital serving communities in northern New Mexico. This is an in-person, hospital-based role in Los Alamos, with a primarily orthopedic caseload and a mix of inpatient and outpatient cases. The position offers substantial autonomy over clinical practice and scheduling, with a collaborative team that makes decisions together. The schedule is full-time, mostly Monday through Friday, with occasional Saturdays. There are no night shifts or on-call responsibilities. The base salary is $91,000–$118,000, and a $20,000 sign-on bonus is available for a 24-month full-time commitment. Partial relocation assistance is offered.

Requirements

Current New Mexico Physical Therapist license.
Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

Perform initial and ongoing assessments of patient condition.
Establish a plan of care for identified problems that involves the patient according to their capabilities and desires.
Plan, prepare, and carry out individualized treatment programs to maintain, improve, or restore physical function, alleviate pain, and prevent dysfunction.
Perform therapy interventions using standard physical therapy techniques appropriate to the patient's age and condition.
Direct and supervise physical therapy assistants, students, and support personnel, including assessing competence and delegating tasks.
Administer treatments involving physical agents and equipment, including moist packs, ultraviolet and infrared lamps, and ultrasound.
Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, and recommend modifications.
Identify and document goals, anticipated progress, and plans for reevaluation.
