About The Position

A leading healthcare facility in New Mexico is seeking a compassionate and motivated Physical Therapist (PT) to join its rehabilitation services department. This opportunity offers a dynamic mix of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation, allowing therapists to work with diverse patient populations while delivering high-quality, evidence-based care.

Requirements

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program
Active Physical Therapist license or eligibility in the state of practice
Current BLS/BCLS certification

Nice To Haves

Experience in hospital, outpatient, or rehabilitation settings
Strong communication and patient-care skills
New graduates with strong clinical rotations are welcome to apply

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and assessments
Develop individualized treatment plans based on physician referrals and patient goals
Implement evidence-based rehabilitation programs to improve mobility and function
Administer therapeutic exercises, gait training, balance and mobility training, and functional activities
Educate patients and families on safety techniques, home exercises, and assistive devices
Utilize rehabilitation modalities such as ultrasound, hydrotherapy, traction, massage, and heat therapy as appropriate
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans based on outcomes
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation
Assist with discharge planning and development of home exercise programs
Work closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, and rehabilitation staff
Participate in interdisciplinary care planning meetings
Support and mentor therapy assistants and rehabilitation support personnel
Maintain a clean and safe treatment environment
Adhere to infection control policies and regulatory standards
Ensure rehabilitation equipment is properly maintained and functioning safely
