The Physical Therapist at Jupiter Medical Center is responsible for delivering comprehensive therapy services, including patient assessment, treatment planning, and therapeutic interventions within a collaborative team environment. This role adheres to professional practices and ethical standards, contributing to program development, quality improvement, problem-solving, and productivity enhancement. The therapist will implement high-quality therapy services with minimal supervision, develop treatment plans, supervise assistants and aides, manage cases, and ensure excellent patient care while maintaining positive interactions with patients and colleagues. The position also includes performing other assigned duties.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Licensed to practice Physical Therapy in the State of Florida.
  • American Heart Association BLS Certification for Health Care Providers.

Responsibilities

  • Providing a full range of therapy services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions.
  • Implementing high quality therapy services for patients in accordance with the principals and practices of physical therapy.
  • Developing treatment plans.
  • Supervising assistants and aides.
  • Contributing to case management.
  • Providing quality patient care.
  • Maintaining a positive level of interaction with patients and co-workers.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.
  • Completing annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation.
  • Participating in the TB/PPD Surveillance Program.
  • Maintaining required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
