About The Position

Sentara Therapy Center Granby in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Travel Physical Therapist (PT) to work a 14-week assignment! This is a temporary full-time position with a day shift, working 40 hours per week. The role involves performing modalities and therapeutic interventions according to accepted standards of care and department policies. It also includes providing effective instruction to patients and families, initiating and maintaining collaborative interactions with team members, patients, and families to improve outcomes, and being productive and efficient in daily operations. The Physical Therapist will select and perform appropriate assessment procedures and establish/update formal plans of care to address individual patient needs. A valid license in the state of practice is required.

Requirements

• Required license must be valid in state of practice.
• Bachelor’s Level Degree – Physical Therapy
• Physical Therapist License (PT) – Virginia
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA)
• Ortho and neuro experience (required)

Nice To Haves

• Previous physical therapy experience (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Performs modalities/therapeutic interventions in accordance with accepted standards of care and department policies and procedures.
• Provides effective instruction to the patient and family through standardized educational programs and/or individualized training.
• Initiate, develop, and maintain collaborative interactions with internal and external team members, patients, and family members to improve patient outcomes.
• Productive and efficient in daily operations.
• Selects and performs the appropriate assessment procedures.
• Establishes and updates formal plan of care to address individual patient needs.
