About The Position

Amedisys is hiring a full-time, day-shift Physical Therapist to provide home health care. The role helps patients maintain, restore, and improve movement, activity, and function through physical therapy services. Compensation is $55.00–$60.00 per hour, with point pay after orientation. Compensation may vary by geographic market, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

Requirements

• Current license to practice physical therapy in the state assigned.
• Graduate of a physical therapy educational program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE).
• One year of related physical therapy experience for physical therapists entering home health care. Applicants with less than one year require approval from regional clinical leaders and appropriate mentoring and/or participation in a residency program.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Help patients maintain, restore, and improve movement, activity, and function.
• Provide interventions, conduct reexaminations at least every 30 days, modify interventions as necessary, and perform discharge planning.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
