About The Position

Meritus Health is seeking a passionate Physical Therapist to join their dynamic Meritus Physical Therapy team at Valley Mall. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact across all age groups, from newborns to seniors, within a collaborative, patient-centered environment that emphasizes evidence-based practice. The position involves delivering comprehensive patient assessments, designing individualized therapy plans, and implementing and adapting interventions based on patient progress and needs. Key responsibilities also include maintaining accurate clinical documentation in compliance with licensure standards, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate holistic care, providing discharge recommendations, and connecting patients with community resources. The Physical Therapist will also supervise and mentor PTAs, rehab aides, students, and volunteers, while upholding ethical standards and participating in ongoing professional development.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program (MPT or DPT required)
Licensed or temporarily licensed in Maryland as a Physical Therapist
No clinical experience beyond education required. Must be able to perform all phases of job after initial three months
Current BLS (CPR) certification
Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
No post-graduate clinical experience required —just a commitment to excellence
