About The Position
Northern Edge Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist dedicated to evidence-based manual therapy. The role involves providing direct patient care, supporting rehabilitation activities, and utilizing state-of-the-art technology such as movement analysis and rehabilitative ultrasound imaging. The position offers mentorship to develop expert-level skills in areas like Dry Needling, Manipulation, and movement analysis.

- Licensed physical therapist in the State of Alaska
Responsibilities
- Assesses patients and develops and initiates treatment plans based on the evaluation results.
- Reviews the Physician's referral (Prescription) and the patient's condition and medical records to determine the physical therapy treatment required.
- Provides direct patient care by established protocols and patient care guidelines.
- Documents findings, progress, and instructions to patients and caregivers.
- Responsible for patient care performed by assistants and rehabilitation technicians.
- Completes a written plan of care, develops goals based on evaluation findings, and develops a comprehensive program to attain goals.
- Implements physical therapy treatment program and provides essential physical therapy treatments.
- Communicates effectively with patients/caregivers and professional colleagues, including physicians and insurance companies.
- Ensures timely documentation, including daily notes, weekly workers' compensation reports, progress reports, initial evaluations, discharge summaries, and incident reports.
