About The Position

This position is for a Physical Therapist on a PRN (as needed) basis, working day shifts. The role involves daily patient assessments and treatments, reviewing physician protocols, participating in treatment plan reviews, and ensuring accurate documentation for billing. The Physical Therapist will also communicate with and direct other clinical staff, provide exceptional customer service, offer educational services, and participate in facility in-service activities. Additionally, the role includes maintaining a safe and clean facility, managing equipment, and keeping up with supply inventory. The Physical Therapist may also assume other responsibilities assigned by the Director of Inpatient Unit.

Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited physical therapy curriculum.
  • Possess a current BLS Card.
  • State Physical Therapy licensure required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with both patients and physicians.
  • Must have strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to accurately document information for billing purposes.

Nice To Haves

  • General physical therapy, sports and industrial medicine experience preferred.
  • Computer experience in windows, spreadsheets, and word processing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Daily patient physical therapy assessments and treatment.
  • Review of treatment protocols of ordering physician.
  • Participate in treatment plan review and ongoing patient care reassessments.
  • Accurate documentation to ensure timely and correct billing.
  • Communication ability to direct and assist other clinical staff as necessary.
  • Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with patients and physicians.
  • Provides necessary educational services and participates in facility in-service activities.
  • Works to ensure a safe and clean facility including physical plant and equipment maintenance and supply inventory upkeep.
  • Assumes any other responsibilities that may be assigned by the Director of Inpatient Unit.
