Functions as the Physical Therapist (PT) in a team and mission-based setting to provide medically-prescribed physical therapy to restore function and prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of a body part and activities for in-patients and out-patients of a (small) Critical Access Hospital (CAH) at Northern Cochise Community Hospital (NCCH). PT provides services that help restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease. PT is responsible for creating an environment of patient-centered care through evidence-based standard. In collaboration with meeting required compliance with all state, federal, and local regulation laws, standards and protocols PT ensures adherence to Hospitals and departmental policies and procedures. PT must project a professional appearance and be well organized with strong critical thinking skills. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement (CQI) activities. The Physical Therapist (PT) must possess strong qualities that instill trust and accountability for a successful outcome. This position requires a commitment to teamwork, collaboration and department scheduling needs i.e. good attendance, attitude, customer services, communication skills, timely deadlines, etc. Beginning December 1, 2021 new employees will be required to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 and can request consideration for a medical or religious exemption.
