As a Physical Therapist at Memorial Health, you will review and evaluate outpatients referred by physicians (this position also includes Inpatient hours), perform diagnostic tests, measurements, and evaluations, and develop personalized care plans with short- and long-term goals. You will communicate treatment needs to patients and families, fostering cooperation and engagement, and provide home treatment instructions when needed. You will administer therapeutic techniques (e.g., exercise, Dry needling, IASTM, moist heat, ultrasound, electrical stimulation, massage) to restore function, relieve pain, and prevent disability. Additionally, you will educate patients in the use of braces, canes, crutches, or prosthetic devices, record evaluations, progress notes, and outcomes in medical records, and collaborate actively with the healthcare team to coordinate care. You will also supervise Physical Therapist Assistants, Athletic Trainers, PT Aides, students, and volunteers, participate in training programs and assist with special projects, and step into leadership when needed, supervising the Rehab Department in the absence of the Director or Clinical Lead. Staying current on advances in Physical Therapy through continuing education and professional development, and demonstrating Memorial’s core values: Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence, and Service are also key aspects of this role.
