Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program approved by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
Current Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Pennsylvania.
CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA-approved, including skills demonstration) within 30 days of hire.
Strong clinical assessment, treatment planning, and patient care skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
Knowledge of human growth and development across the lifespan.

Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations, reassessments, and treatments.
Develop individualized plans of care based on physician referrals, patient goals, and clinical findings.
Modify treatment plans as patients progress and their needs change.
Help patients improve mobility, strength, balance, flexibility, endurance, and overall function.
Collaborate with Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) to ensure continuity and effectiveness of care.
Communicate patient progress, recommendations, and treatment outcomes with physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members.
Provide education and home exercise programs to patients and families to support continued success beyond therapy sessions.
Serve as a resource and advocate for patients throughout their rehabilitation journey.
Complete accurate and timely documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, discharge summaries, and treatment records.
Ensure compliance with regulatory, organizational, and department standards.
Complete charge capture and required statistical reporting accurately.
Participate in continuing education, professional development, and clinical training opportunities.
Attend department meetings, in-services, and quality improvement initiatives.
May serve as a clinical instructor for physical therapy students, residents, and fellows.
