About The Position
We are seeking an energetic, patient-focused Physical Therapist who is passionate about delivering exceptional care and committed to continuous professional growth. We are seeking a Physical Therapist for a PRN opportunity in a dynamic outpatient orthopedic and sports medicine setting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctoral level degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited university required
- Physical Therapist must be licensed in the state of Tennessee
- Minimum of two years of experience in a physician office or orthopedic setting (new graduates must demonstrate superior ability to perform through a clinical affiliation or by other comparable means)
- Ability to manage multiple patients and administer appropriate modalities
- Extensive knowledge in exercise physiology, bio mechanics, and exercise prescription
- Working knowledge of manual therapy techniques
- Working knowledge of billing issues, CPT codes, and basic knowledge of Insurance related issues
- Comfortable effectively using MS Office programs including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook
- Ability to work with Practice Management software
- Pleasant speaking voice and demeanor
- Good communication skills and the ability to perform patient education duties
- Neat and professional appearance
Nice To Haves
- Extensive training in orthopedic care preferred
- Manual Therapy skills preferred
- Management experience preferred
- work towards Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association or Performance Enhancement Specialist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine is preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat patients while maintaining timely, accurate documentation
- Provide manual therapy and evidence-based treatment interventions
- Supervise support staff and technicians
- Communicate effectively with physicians and healthcare team members
- Assist with patient education and clinic operations as needed
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, CPR, and other regulatory requirements
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
