About The Position
This position is for our Weekend Support role, offering the opportunity to work full-time with either 8-hour or 10-hour days, with the potential to transition to a full-time, 30-hour week. The role involves providing therapeutic care to patients in a hospital setting, with a specialization in Acute Care. There is also an opportunity to float in the Outpatient Ortho department, allowing for continuity of patient care from acute to outpatient settings. Premium pay and bonuses are included.
Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Physical Therapist specific to the State of Kentucky
- A Bachelor's or higher in Physical Therapy
- Current CPR certification
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring current or future sponsorship for an employment visa

- Desire to specialize in Acute Care
- Interest in floating in the Outpatient Ortho department
Responsibilities
- Developing and implementing an individualized treatment plan based on patient needs containing achievable functional goals by using therapeutic exercise and modalities, as necessary
- Reviewing available patient information, evaluating the impact of the assessment, and communicating of the treatment process
- Revising treatment plans, as needed, throughout the treatment process for patients suffering from injuries, or muscle, nerve, joint, and/or bone diseases
- Establishing and instructing patient and/or family/caregiver in exercises and therapeutic procedures to be continued following discharge
- Delegating tasks and supervising physical therapist assistants (PTA) and rehabilitation technicians
- Completing appropriate documentation according to Company/department policies and procedures along with adhering to federal and state regulations
