About The Position

The Physical Therapist will be responsible for evaluating patients, developing treatment plans, and implementing therapeutic regimens to aid in patient recovery. This role involves direct patient care, documentation, communication with the rehabilitation team, and participation in educational programs. The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy and a current Colorado license. Previous experience and a Master's Degree are preferred. Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required.
Current, unencumbered Colorado license required.
Kind and professional demeanor.

Must be able to recognize details such as color and depth within a few feet of the observer.
Frequently operates computers, machinery, and other healthcare equipment.
Constantly positions self to complete essential functions.
May be required to wear N95s or PAPRs up to 80% of the shift.

Nice To Haves

Master's Degree in Physical Therapy preferred.
Previous experience working as a physical therapist preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain established policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance programs, safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
Evaluate patients upon initial encounter to assess impairment and current condition to estimate rehabilitation potential.
Plan physical therapy treatment program for each patient, based on the assessment.
Apply diagnostic and progressive nerve, joint, and muscle functional ability tests.
Direct and aid patient in therapeutic regimen.
Delegate routine care to supportive personnel as appropriate.
Act in supervisory role to ensure proper execution of tasks.
Adapt conventional physical therapy techniques to fit the needs of patients in a variety of circumstances.
Conduct and participate in training medical and nursing personnel in physical therapy techniques and objectives.
Evaluate, record, and report on patient progress for review by other members of the rehabilitative team.
Communicate effectively with physicians and other members of the rehabilitation team.
Counsel patient and family about degree of disability impairment.
Complete all required documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner.
Participate in educational programs and in-service meetings.
Participate in continuing education programs to ensure appropriate units are attained for continuation and maintenance of state license.
Assists with departmental maintenance and supplies.
Supervises the patient care activities of aides, assistants, attendants, students, and volunteers.
Other duties as assigned/ requested.
