About The Position

The Physical Therapist I is responsible for providing evaluation and treatment of the patient within the parameters of legal and professional guidelines, and hospital and departmental policies and procedures. The Physical Therapist instructs and directs Physical Therapist Assistants and Rehab Technicians as assigned. This position evaluates and implements the plan of care to improve, restore and enhance physical functional performance, and promote injury prevention. The Physical Therapist performs documentation and quality improvement, as outlined in departmental policies and procedures. Provide those services or treatments requiring physical therapist skill, according to the written patient care plan and the signed plan of treatment. Demonstrate understanding of correlation between OASIS assessments and outcomes reporting. Communicate regularly with all disciplines involved in the care of the patient. Complete and initial and ongoing assessment (OASIS if appropriate) to determine level of functioning.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Physical Therapy
  • 1 year Physical Therapy
  • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - American Heart Association
  • Physical Therapist (PT) - State Licensing Board
