Physical Therapist- Early Intervention
About The Position
Metro Therapy, Inc., a Powerback Pediatrics company, has served the educational and developmental needs of pediatric populations throughout Long Island and New York City’s five boroughs for over 35 years. The Physical Therapist provides services to children in the Early Intervention program in a variety of settings, which may include the home or a center. The role includes evaluating and assessing children, tracking their progress, delivering services according to the IFSP, collaborating with families and other professionals, completing documentation, and supporting functional mobility and orientation safety.
Requirements
- Must have a valid and unencumbered Physical Therapy license in the state(s) of practice, or proof of license and eligibility.
- Must have a qualifying degree in Physical Therapy.
- DOH approval is required.
Responsibilities
- Provide Physical Therapy services to children in Early Intervention settings, which may include homes or centers.
- Perform evaluations and assessments and track child progress.
- Deliver Physical Therapy services as mandated in the IFSP.
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, educators, and other professionals to support each child’s goals.
- Complete documentation and progress notes.
- Assist with functional mobility and orientation safety directives, guidelines, and exercises.
