About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Physical Therapist (PT) specializing in Adult Outpatient Rehabilitation for a 13-week travel assignment in Juneau, Alaska. This role is ideal for a licensed Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of adult outpatient rehabilitation experience who is comfortable evaluating and treating a wide range of musculoskeletal, orthopedic, neurological, and functional mobility conditions. Candidates must hold an active Alaska Physical Therapist license, current BLS/CPR certification, and a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

  • Active Alaska Physical Therapist license
  • Minimum 1 year of recent adult outpatient rehabilitation experience
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Graduate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program, or equivalent qualifying education meeting applicable licensure requirements
  • Strong clinical assessment and treatment-planning skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Complete all required Medicare compliance training
  • Complete annual OSHA training
  • Follow applicable federal, state, and facility regulations
  • Maintain required continuing education for Alaska licensure
  • Maintain current CPR/BLS credentials throughout the assignment
  • Meet facility health requirements, including required influenza vaccination unless an approved exemption applies

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate adult patients with musculoskeletal, orthopedic, neurological, and mobility-related conditions.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on functional limitations, clinical findings, and patient goals.
  • Provide therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, neuromuscular re-education, gait training, balance training, and other appropriate interventions.
  • Assess strength, range of motion, mobility, balance, posture, coordination, and functional performance.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Educate patients and families regarding home exercise programs, injury prevention, mobility strategies, and recovery expectations.
  • Document evaluations, treatment sessions, progress notes, and discharge summaries accurately and on time.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, speech therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care planning when appropriate.
  • Maintain compliance with Medicare documentation and billing requirements.
  • Follow OSHA safety standards and facility policies.
  • Maintain continuing education requirements necessary for state licensure.
  • Support safe transitions of care and discharge planning.
  • Manage a daily outpatient caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of patient care.
