Physical Therapist (Pediatrics) Full Time
About The Position
Holy Cross Hospital in Fort Lauderdale, Florida is a full-service, non-profit Catholic hospital, sponsored by the Sisters of Mercy and a member of Trinity Health. This position is for a Physical Therapist in the Family Life Center, aiming to create a distinctive and exceptional therapeutic space for infants and children to improve their health and quality of life. The role will focus on improving access and opportunity for children from poor communities with limited resources, contributing to health equity and decreasing disparities. The therapist will design and implement programs to address individual child needs, increase overall function and participation, and monitor individualized assessments, treatment plans, progress assessments, and goals with family input, all while ensuring optimal function, movement, and injury prevention.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Physical Therapy is required.
- Must be a Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Florida is required.

- Pediatric experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Evaluations are conducted with thoroughness and efficiency, including appropriate tests and measurements.
- Sets functional, realistic, and measurable goals and the patient demonstrates consistent achievement of those goals.
- Designs a functional treatment plan that is reflective of prescribed therapy and incorporates applicable reimbursement issues.
- Re-evaluates and discharges patients within appropriate time frames.
