About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join their outpatient therapy team. This role will primarily focus on treating orthopedic and general physical therapy patients, providing patient-centered care close to home. The position involves examining, evaluating, diagnosing, prognosing, and intervening with patients to achieve optimal outcomes. Responsibilities include developing care plans, providing treatment techniques to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function, and collaborating with referring providers and other clinical staff. Typical caseloads include post-operative total knee and hip replacements, sprains/strains, back pain, and various other orthopedic conditions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or higher, in Physical Therapy from an American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) approved curriculum.
  • State of Wisconsin Physical Therapist License.
  • Current BLS for Health Care Providers from American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • Must be credentialed with Emplify Health by Gundersen prior to starting.

Nice To Haves

  • Upcoming PT graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Prior experience with outpatient ortho patients or internship desired.
  • Physical Therapist board-certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) desired.
  • Knowledge and skills in Dry Needling and/or Pelvic Health is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Examine, evaluate, diagnose, prognose, and intervene with patients to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Develop plans of care and provide treatment techniques and interventions to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function.
  • Collaborate with referring providers and other clinical staff to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Communicate effectively and in a timely manner regarding patient treatment.
  • Treat patients with conditions such as total knee and hip post-op, sprains/strains, back pain, hip, shoulder, ankle, knee, and chronic or acute pain.
