About The Position

Virtual Physical Therapists are responsible for leading patient care and supporting our virtual clinic success. This role involves synthesizing patient information, diagnosing movement dysfunction through various analyses and patient communication, developing individualized plans of care using evidence-based interventions, evaluating and documenting patient progress, educating patients about the recovery process, following up with patients for adherence, and connecting with providers to increase awareness of therapies. The goal is to serve as many patients as possible with high-quality physical therapy and facilitate care that creates meaningful outcomes.

Requirements

  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of California or Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Texas with eligibility for PT compact licensure.
  • 2 years of experience in Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy.
  • 2 additional Physical Therapy Licenses in desired states in which Origin delivers clinical care (three total).
  • This is a part-time role that requires consistent availability on one or two weekend days per week.
  • Passionate about delivering care via telehealth.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience delivering Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy via telehealth.
  • Eligible for PT compact licensure.

Responsibilities

  • Synthesizing pertinent information from a patient's referral, medical records, imaging, intake forms and subjective history taking.
  • Diagnosing movement dysfunction via functional movement, posture and gait analysis, self guided internal pelvic floor examinations, objective measurements and listening to patients concerns and goals via a HIPAA compliant two-way audio-video communication platform.
  • Using critical thinking to develop individualized plans of care for patients to include the patient's goals and expected outcomes of the plan.
  • Utilizing evidence-based interventions such as therapeutic exercise, self care, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic activities and other self-guided modalities to achieve patients' goals.
  • Evaluating and documenting patient progress, utilizing outcome measures to drive results and modifying the plan of care as needed.
  • Educating patients about what to expect from the recovery process and how to cope with challenges throughout the process.
  • Following up with patients to ensure better adherence to plan of care.
  • Connecting with providers and local organizations to increase awareness of therapies provided by the clinic and ensure that as many patients as possible that need care are able to receive it.
