Our client is seeking an energetic and experienced licensed Physical Therapist to join our team. The role involves evaluating for and administering all forms of Physical Therapy, exercising general and close supervision of supportive personnel, assisting in office administration, and performing related duties as required. Requirements
- Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy
- Current Louisiana licensure

Responsibilities
- Evaluates patients with a variety of diagnoses, establishes treatment plans and formulates goals.
- Performs procedures, modalities, ADL activities and exercise programs indicated by a patient’s condition and functional status. Fabricates orthotics according to patient’s needs.
- Maintains accurate and timely patient records including, but not limited to, progress notes, patient evaluation, re-evaluations, discharge summaries and billing forms.
- Supervises Physical Therapy assistants.
- Participates in the department’s quality improvement and safety programs as assigned.
- Co-signs Physical Therapy Assistant documentation after reviewing for content and appropriateness.
- Provides direct and indirect supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants through verbal or written instruction and feedback regarding a patient’s treatment and progress. Also provides information to other medical/allied health personnel regarding a patient’s progress, needs and discharge plan.
- Instructs patient and family in appropriate exercises to continue at home and provides written material as needed for a reference.
- Attends scheduled management meetings and participates appropriately.
- Maintains accurate understanding of and follows all policies and procedures regarding safety, documentation, infection control, cleaning confidentiality.
- Assists in the cleaning and maintenance of department equipment and supplies. Reports any need for repair to department heads.
- Accepts other duties and assignments within his/her scope of knowledge, skills and abilities.
