About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation Mesquite, TX is seeking a Full Time Physical Therapist for their Ortho Outpatient clinic. This role involves the treatment of the general orthopedic population in a multi-discipline, multi-specialty environment that supports further development, certifications, and specializations. The average patient caseload is 10 patients per day, with timely and accurate documentation required using Therapy Source. Responsibilities include initial and ongoing patient assessment, interpreting assessment/diagnostic data, ensuring accurate transcription of medical orders, promoting quality improvement, and providing patient/family instruction and counseling.

Requirements

Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment or as required by state regulations.

Responsibilities

Initial and ongoing systematic patient assessment
Patient Case Load Average: 10 patients a day
Timely and accurate documentation using Therapy Source
Interpreting assessment/diagnostic data including medical notes and surgery reports
Ensuring medical orders are transcribed and processed accurately
Promoting continuous quality improvement
Instructing and counseling patients/families as needed
