This is a PRN (as needed) position in an outpatient setting for a Physical Therapist. The role involves providing patient care assessment and treatment, ensuring comprehensive and functional evaluations and treatments according to the Standard of Practice. The Physical Therapist will use sound professional judgment to interpret evaluation results and establish treatment plans with realistic goals. Accurate patient documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, is essential. The position also requires meeting department financial and productivity standards, understanding budgeted expectations, and adjusting schedules to meet patient and department needs. Participation in process management to optimize quality and efficiency, identifying quality and operational opportunities, and promoting professional development and education of other healthcare workers are key aspects of the role. The Physical Therapist will also supervise physical therapy and physical therapy assistant students, communicate professionally with patients, physicians, and staff, and provide appropriate patient care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines. Adherence to general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment is also expected.
