About The Position

Independence Rehab is seeking a Physical Therapist for a unique 25-30 hour-per-week position at Splendido at Rancho Vistoso. This is an ideal opportunity for a therapist who values flexibility, enjoys working with older adults, and likes the variety of treating patients across different levels of care. Rather than spending your entire week in one setting, you'll have the opportunity to work with residents throughout the continuum of care at Splendido: Skilled Nursing (SNF) - inpatient rehabilitation, Assisted Living (AL) - outpatient therapy, and Independent Living (IL) - outpatient therapy. Your outpatient treatments are scheduled one-on-one in 45-minute appointments, allowing you to focus on the individual patient rather than juggling multiple patients at once. This position is designed for approximately 25-30 hours per week and is not expected to grow into a 40-hour position. In return, you'll have considerable flexibility in how those hours are scheduled. We understand that not every great therapist wants-or needs-a traditional 40-hour workweek. We'll work with you to build a schedule around the needs of our patients and your life outside of work. There is flexibility not only in the days you work, but also in how you structure your workday. This could be an excellent fit for a PT looking for better work-life balance, family time, a semi-retirement schedule, or simply more freedom during the week.

Requirements

Licensed or license-eligible in Arizona
Wants approximately 25-30 hours per week
Enjoys the variety of working across different levels of geriatric care
Values flexibility and autonomy
Has strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Is organized and comfortable working independently
Enjoys building relationships with older adults

Nice To Haves

Previous SNF or geriatric experience is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

Evaluate and treat geriatric patients across SNF, Assisted Living, and Independent Living settings
Provide both inpatient rehabilitation and outpatient therapy
Develop and adjust individualized plans of care
Collaborate with nursing, physicians, facility staff, and interdisciplinary team members
Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and support to PTA team members
Help residents maintain or regain mobility, independence, and quality of life
