Empathy and a service-oriented mindset are essential, as therapists motivate and support patients throughout their rehabilitation journey. A caregiver in this position will work a part-time schedule with flexible start times between 7:00am and 7:30am and shifts ending as late as 7:00pm based on operational needs. This role includes one scheduled shift per week ending at 6:00pm and one scheduled shift per week ending at 7:00pm, typically on Wednesdays and Thursdays, though days may vary. Caregivers may have the opportunity to float to regional locations as needed. This position includes a rotating Saturday requirement of approximately three shifts per year.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or certificate
  • Graduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association
  • Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Responsibilities

  • Perform initial and on-going assessments of patient condition.
  • Establish, revise and evaluate a plan of care appropriate to problems identified and involve the patient/family according to their capabilities and desires.
  • Perform therapy interventions utilizing standard physical therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the age and condition of the patient.
  • Supervise activities of Physical Therapy Assistants, students and other support personnel.
