Requirements

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree from an accredited program
Must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid New York Physical Therapist license at time of hire
BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
Strong communication, collaboration, and time-management abilities; capacity to deliver compassionate care across a diverse patient population

Nice To Haves

Prior outpatient or post-acute physical therapy experience preferred

Responsibilities

Conduct initial evaluations and build individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's rehabilitation goals
Deliver therapeutic interventions including exercise, manual therapy, and modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and heat/ice therapy
Educate patients on exercise programming, posture correction, and injury prevention to drive long-term functional outcomes
Collaborate with the broader clinical team to ensure coordinated, patient-centered care
Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and document evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries per departmental and industry standards
Maintain a safe, organized treatment environment in compliance with infection control guidelines
