About The Position

Florida Rehabilitation Hospital at Tampa is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join their team. The role involves independently evaluating patients, determining treatment strategies, and delivering services to address physical dysfunction or pain. This includes assessing strength, motor control, joint mobility, pain, balance, cardiopulmonary function, endurance, gait, and functional abilities in daily living. The therapist will utilize therapeutic application of physical and chemical agents, exercise, and other procedures to maximize patient functional independence. The position is located in a new hospital with advanced technology and private patient rooms.

Requirements

Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross (online certification not acceptable)

Responsibilities

Independently evaluates patients to determine treatment strategies.
Delivers and/or delegates services to identify, prevent, remediate, and rehabilitate acute or prolonged physical dysfunction or pain.
Assesses strength, motor control, joint mobility, soft tissue integrity, pain, balance, coordination, posture, cardiopulmonary function, endurance, gait, and functional abilities in activities of daily living.
Applies therapeutic physical and chemical agents, exercise, and other procedures to maximize patient functional independence.
