About The Position

Spear Physical and Occupational Therapy is seeking a qualified, passionate Physical Therapist to join their team. This role involves covering hours at their New Jersey clinics, offering experience with a variety of clinics and patient diagnoses. New graduates are welcome to apply. The position requires therapists to set clear expectations for patient progress, execute treatments as promised, and provide supporting documents like Home Exercise Programs. A high standard of clinical excellence and 5-star customer service is expected, with a collaborative spirit valued to ensure patients and team members receive the necessary care and support.

Requirements

  • License to practice Physical Therapy in the State of New York
  • Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, Master or Bachelors of PT
  • Passion for the field of physical and occupational therapy.
  • Proactive, collaborative, team-oriented attitude.
  • Commitment to and hunger for continued learning.
  • Dedication to not only rehabilitating patients’ injuries but their confidence & vitality.
  • Accomplishment from pairing clinical skills with emotional intelligence.
  • Ability to celebrate wins and learn from losses with patients, colleagues, & communities.

  • Manual dexterity and general strength and endurance.
  • Ability to routinely lift loads of 5-35 lbs from floor to waist, waist to shoulder, and shoulder to overhead.
  • Ability to routinely carry loads of 5-10lbs for 40-50 feet.
  • Ability to routinely push loads of 5-150lbs on casters, runners or pulleys.
  • Ability to sustain a grip routinely for 1-2 minutes of 40-50lbs.
  • Ability to routinely guard a “lift load” of 120-140lbs.
