About The Position
Dignity Health East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and Dignity Health, is seeking a Physical Therapist (PT) for a PRN position. This role is crucial in providing exceptional patient care within our rehabilitation programs. We offer customized, individualized rehabilitation to patients recovering from strokes, brain injuries, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injuries, amputations, and orthopedic injuries. The Physical Therapist will evaluate patients, implement treatment plans, conduct assessments, set goals, and develop personalized interventions to restore function, reduce pain, prevent disability, and promote mobility. Treatments may include therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and the use of physical agents and assistive devices. The therapist will also educate patients on injury prevention and rehabilitation strategies, and supervise physical therapy assistants, students, and support personnel. Continuous monitoring and documentation of patient progress are essential, with plan modifications as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
Requirements
- Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
- Physical Therapist License in State
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in Rehab setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Evaluating patients and implementing medically prescribed physical therapy treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments, establishing appropriate goals, and developing personalized interventions to restore function, reduce pain, prevent disability, and promote mobility.
- Educating patients on injury prevention, ergonomics, and rehabilitation strategies.
- Supervising and delegating tasks to physical therapy assistants, students, and support personnel in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
- Continuously monitoring and documenting progress, with plans modified as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
