About The Position

This is a pelvic health physical therapy position supporting adult female and male patients with pelvic floor dysfunction and bowel dysfunction. This position will treat patients with pelvic floor dyssynergia and constipation, along with complex pelvic pain, pelvic organ prolapse, urinary dysfunction, and will also provide treatment and care options to transgender, gender diverse and intersex individuals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy.
  • Two years of outpatient physical therapy experience, including experience in Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy.
  • Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Women’s Health Physical Therapy.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification required within the first 90 days of hire.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development for effective communication and care of adolescent, adult, and older adult populations.
  • Florida State licensure to practice Physical Therapy.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with sEMG perineal biofeedback.
  • Dry needling certified.
  • Advanced training in pain neuroscience.
  • Additional education and training in pelvic rehabilitation and/or manual therapy.
  • Specific training regarding care for transgender, gender diverse and intersex individuals and gender affirmation care.
