About The Position

Seeking a full-time Physical Therapist to join a growing multi-disciplinary team in an inpatient rehab setting. This position involves a weekend alternative schedule at Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation Fort Worth. The role requires collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team to treat medically complex patients with conditions such as stroke, brain injury, SCI, orthopedic, and cardiopulmonary disorders. The ideal candidate will possess strong neurological rehab skills and work well in a team setting. New graduates with inpatient rehab clinical experience are welcome. The responsibilities include evaluating patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, delegating therapy services, designing functional treatment programs for community reintegration, and educating patients, families, students, and colleagues. Other professional duties related to patient care and program development are also expected.

Requirements

Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
Certified BLS or completion in first 90 days of employment required.

Responsibilities

Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities.
Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self.
Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
