About The Position

This is a full-time Physical Therapist position serving students in Kindergarten through 12th grade across multiple campuses. The role involves providing school-based physical therapy services to students with a variety of physical, motor, and mobility needs in both general and special education settings. The therapist will deliver direct therapy services to improve student access, functional mobility, and participation in educational activities. Responsibilities include consulting with teachers and staff, developing accommodations for student independence, participating in IEP meetings, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

  • Active Illinois IDFPR Physical Therapy license required
  • Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) through ISBE required
  • Ability to travel between multiple school sites during the workday
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

  • Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage an anticipated caseload of approximately 45 students
  • Provide school-based physical therapy services across multiple campuses
  • Support students with a variety of physical, motor, and mobility needs in both general and special education settings
  • Deliver direct therapy services designed to improve access, functional mobility, and participation in educational activities
  • Provide consultation to teachers, related service providers, and school staff
  • Develop accommodations and strategies that promote student independence and accessibility throughout the school environment
  • Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations related to physical therapy services
  • Maintain timely documentation and monitor student progress toward individualized goals
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, student-centered care
