About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a full-time Physical Therapist (PT) to join their growing multi-disciplinary team in an inpatient rehabilitation setting. The role involves treating medically complex patients with conditions such as stroke, brain injury, SCI, orthopedic, and cardiopulmonary disorders. The ideal candidate will possess strong neurological rehabilitation skills and work effectively in a team environment. New graduates with inpatient rehab clinical experience are welcome. The position requires evaluating patients, developing and implementing treatment plans, and educating patients, families, students, and colleagues. The therapist will also be responsible for designing functional treatment programs to facilitate return to community activities and performing other professional duties related to patient care and program development.

Requirements

Current state licensure or eligibility for state licensure as a Physical Therapist required.
Certified BLS or completion in the first 90 days of employment required.
Strong neurological rehab skills.
Works well in a team setting.
Inpatient rehab clinical experience (for new graduates).

Responsibilities

Evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements and modifies treatment plan in accordance with the patient’s need and physician direction.
Responsible for delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services for those assigned patients.
Ensures the design of functional treatment programs allowing for an effective return to community activities.
Serves as an educator of patients, families, students, co-workers and self.
Performs other professional duties associated with the care of the patient, development of discipline-specific therapy services and design of program delivery.
