About The Position

In this role you will conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations for patients admitted to inpatient units (medical-surgical, ICU, orthopedics, neurology, etc.). You will develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings, physician recommendations, and patient goals. You will deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions including gait training, balance, strengthening, and mobility activities. You will monitor and document patient progress, modifying the plan of care as needed. You will provide education to patients and caregivers on exercises, safety, and discharge recommendations. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, case managers, occupational therapists, and other interdisciplinary team members. You will participate in discharge planning by providing input regarding mobility status, equipment needs, and appropriate follow-up services. You will ensure documentation is accurate, timely, and meets regulatory, payer, and facility requirements. You will adhere to all hospital policies, ethical standards, and professional guidelines. Requirements

  • BS degree in physical therapy required
  • BLS certification required or obtained within 1 month of hire
  • Physical Therapy license in Pennsylvania required

Nice To Haves

  • master’s or DPT preferred
  • 1+ years of experience in an inpatient hospital or rehabilitation setting preferred
