About The Position

Reporting directly to the Senior Physical Therapist, the Staff Physical Therapist treats, by physical therapy, those patients assigned to the senior therapist and directs, guides and evaluates physical therapy students. Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Physical Therapy
  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
  • Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists (SCPT)

Responsibilities

  • Treats patients assigned to the senior therapist.
  • Directs, guides and evaluates physical therapy students.
  • Collect, record, report comprehensive client information accurately.
  • Plan, implement/modify treatment programs for clients.
  • Perform resident/patient assessment.
  • Integrate ideas into a team treatment approach.
  • Creative problem solving in an open and resourceful manner.
  • Work independently and in collaboration with others as required.
  • Plan, organize & prioritize work in collaboration with others.
  • Adapt to changing situations and environments.
  • Perform treatment, teaching and report writing.
  • Cope with clients dealing with stress/psychosocial issues.
