Requirements

Master's Degree or Doctorate in Physical Therapy.
Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals.
Administer initial evaluations, identify primary impairments, and use appropriate outcome measures to create effective treatment plans.
Provide therapy, vestibular rehabilitation, home evaluations with recommendations, orthotic and assistive device recommendations, and therapeutic home programs. Engage patients in various mobility exercises, neurodevelopment sequence exercises, flexibility exercises, and extremity manipulations. Assist patients with brain injuries in navigating different surfaces, including hills, stairs, and uneven terrain, providing all levels of assistance as needed.
Use modalities such as hot packs, cold packs, "Omni stim" units, neuromuscular stimulation units, transcutaneous nerve stimulation units, and perform light and deep massage to relieve pain and improve patient comfort.
Continuously check on patient progress to ensure the effectiveness of treatment programs. Review and update patient programs through interim evaluations.
Instruct clinic aides on daily treatment plans, supervise their work, and provide guidance and advice as needed. Supervise students and share your expertise and knowledge.
Maintain accurate records and reports. Consult with patients, insurance representatives, families, and therapists from various clinic disciplines to provide guidance and information.
