This position is within the ICE | MUSL Physical Therapy Inpatient department.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2002 OR Master’s degree in Physical Therapy if graduated prior to 2016 OR Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy or eligible for licensure.
  • Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs examinations, evaluations, and establishes plans of care including goals and recommendations for discharge.
  • Provides daily treatment to promote functional independence and modifies treatment programs.
  • Performs documentation in EHR.
  • Coordinates/communicates with interdisciplinary team.
  • Participates in program improvement, clinical education, and customer service standards.
  • Performs comprehensive examination of patients using appropriate tests/measures, completes the evaluation, and formulates an individualized plan of care.
  • Provides evidence based quality patient treatment and education and monitors patient for physiological status during sessions.
  • Responsive to needs/requests outside of direct patient care.
  • May include serving as a Clinical Instructor, providing presentations, serving on committees/teams, performing program development//projects, developing educational materials, providing education to coworkers after attending continuing education that was supported by travel or educational leave, etc
  • Consistently meets departmental productivity target.
  • Completes accurate and thorough documentation in a timely manner following regulatory policies. Submits accurate and complete charges and daily summary sheets.
  • Adheres to UAMS/Department policy for attendance; reports for all scheduled shifts on time and completes shift duties.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
