About The Position

The Physical Therapist will provide patient care assessment and treatment in an outpatient setting. This role ensures comprehensive, functional evaluations and treatments according to the Standard of Practice, utilizing sound professional judgment to establish treatment plans with realistic goals. The therapist will encourage patients and their significant others in goal setting, recognize and respond to changes in patient's physiologic state, recommend the next level of care, and ensure quality patient outcomes. Additionally, the Physical Therapist will supervise support staff assisting with patient care, maintain accurate and timely documentation, and meet department financial and productivity standards. The role also involves participating in process management to optimize quality and efficiency, promoting professional development and education of other healthcare workers, and communicating effectively with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers. The therapist will also provide appropriate patient care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines, demonstrating age/developmentally specific knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Requirements

B.S., M.S., or D.P.T degree from accredited physical therapy school.
Current licensure in the state of applicable state and CPR certification in Basic Life Support, Level C.
Able to communicate on a professional level with physicians, nurses, and other health care providers and provide quality care for patients.
Able to communicate with patients of all age groups and significant others appropriate to the level of comprehension.
Has knowledge, clinical skills, and understanding of the patient throughout the entire span of life.
