About The Position

InterHealth Staffing, a staffing division of TGH, is offering 13-week seasonal assignments for Physical Therapists. Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the specific division and be competent to work independently. The role involves evaluating, administering, and directing therapies to restore function and prevent disability, as prescribed by a referring practitioner. This includes planning therapy with therapeutic exercises, functional mobility training (bed mobility, transfer, gait training), and utilizing various equipment and manual therapy techniques. Responsibilities also include evaluating, recording, and reporting patient progress, establishing therapy goals, and reassessing progress with appropriate documentation.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience within the specific division being hired into.
  • Deemed competent to work independently.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
  • License Issued by Florida or Compact State, Physical Therapist Certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) American Red Cross or American Heart Association Certification.
  • One (1) year Hospital Clinical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluates, administers and directs administration of therapies utilized in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation as prescribed by a referring practitioner to restore function and to prevent disability following disease, injury or loss of a body part.
  • Helps patients reach maximum performance levels.
  • Plans therapy involving therapeutic exercises, functional mobility training including bed mobility, transfer, and gait training.
  • Utilizes various mechanical and electrical equipment, manual therapy, and prosthetic and orthotic devices.
  • Evaluates, records and reports on patient progress.
  • Establishes goals of physical therapy and re-assesses patient’s progress at regular, timely intervals, supporting findings with appropriate documentation.
