Rehab- Physical Therapist- Part Time- Day Shift
About The Position
This is a part-time position for a Physical Therapist, working 24 hours per week on a day shift, with flexibility for off-shift hours if required. The Physical Therapist reports to the Director of Rehabilitation Services. The role involves evaluating patients, developing and implementing effective physical therapy programs, reviewing orders, interviewing patients, and assessing their physical condition and needs. Key responsibilities also include recommending modifications to patient programs, maintaining department policies and quality assurance, ensuring safety and infection control, and assisting with the care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
Requirements
- A valid Ohio physical therapy license
- Graduate of an accredited program in physical therapy
- Current CPR certification
- Proficient with electronic documentation/typing
- Able to safely provide physical therapy and assist with lifting and transferring patients
Responsibilities
- Evaluates patients, and then develops and implements an effective physical therapy program.
- Review orders for physical therapy.
- Interview patients; evaluate patient’s physical condition and needs.
- Develop a program of corrective exercise and treatment for assigned patients.
- Recommend modification or changes in the patient’s program based on own evaluation of progress and interpretation of significant findings.
- Maintain department policies, procedures, objectives, and quality assurance program.
- Ensure safety, environmental control and infection control processes are maintained.
- Assist in care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
- All other duties as assigned.
