About The Position

This is a hospital-based outpatient Physical Therapy position in Auburn, ME. The role involves providing medically prescribed physical therapy services to evaluate, treat, and restore function, aiming to improve mobility, reduce pain, and prevent disability. The setting is an integrated healthcare delivery system serving a large population in Maine. The position emphasizes individualized, one-on-one patient care with a therapist-driven schedule, avoiding double booking or dovetailing. New graduate Physical Therapists are encouraged to apply and will be provided with mentorship, training, and growth opportunities. The EMR system is integrated with all Central Maine Healthcare providers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor/ Masters/ Doctorate/Certificate degree in Physical Therapy
  • Current state Physical Therapy license
  • Current BCLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

  • Provides medically prescribed physical therapy services to evaluate, treat, and restore function while improving mobility, reducing pain, and preventing disability.
  • Delivers patient-centered care in accordance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based practices.
  • Perform patient evaluations and physical therapy assessments
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Provide therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation and functional improvement
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans and recovery goals
  • Document evaluations, treatments, and patient outcomes accurately
  • Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory, licensing, and patient safety standards
