About The Position

St. Francis Medical Center is a level 1 trauma center and certified Stroke Center. Our PT team helps manage the patient needs throughout our 650+ bed adult hospital and cover all floors including general medical, intermediate, and intensive care units. Our team functions in units or groups working with fellow therapists from all disciplines to manage the needs across 1-3 units and focus our care on providing recommendations and assisting with discharge planning. The Physical Therapist assists patients in the restoration of physical function through evaluation and treatment.

Requirements

  • Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (required for those licensed after 2016; exempt for those licensed prior to 2016).
  • Respective state license in Physical Therapy or in the process of obtaining one (graduated, testing within 60 days, license verifiable within one year of hire).
  • CPR certification within 90 days of hire.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a Physical Therapist.
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care appropriate to the population served.
  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills work well with others and to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other treatment team members when gathering and exchanging patient condition information.
  • Analytical ability to evaluate patients' physical and functional status, establish therapy goals, formulate treatment plans consistent with goals, observe patients and document status, and assist techs and assistants in resolving problems.
  • Excellent computer skills and the ability to process detailed information in an accurate manner.
