About The Position
Provides comprehensive evaluations, treatments, and education to patients and families, consistent with their individualized needs and within an interdisciplinary environment. Maintains an established inventory of supplies, ensures proper use and maintenance of equipment, and keeps the work area free of debris and clutter. Communicates regularly with the patient care team, patients, family members, and others involved in patient care. Assesses patients and identifies problems. Instructs and trains patients and families regarding pertinent aspects of patient care. Plans, develops, and implements result-oriented treatment plans responsive to individualized patient needs with clear, measurable goals. Modifies treatment plans according to patient responses. Plans treatment schedules to ensure optimal use of staff and equipment for high-quality patient services. Provides direct patient care and performs specialized treatments according to the individualized plan of care. Follows established protocols to document specifics related to the patient program/setting. Accurately records daily charges for services rendered. Practices organizational and universal standards for sterile technique and infection control, including proper cleaning and sterilization of work surfaces, equipment, and instruments. Performs other related duties as required.
Requirements
- Graduation from a Physical Therapy school accredited by the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).
- Licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state of Georgia.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association required.
