About The Position

The Physical Therapist (PT) role is situated within the Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Baystate Noble Hospital, a rural community hospital. This position involves evaluating and treating patients across both the medical-surgical unit and the Emergency Department. Lifepoint Rehabilitation, part of Lifepoint Health, partners with Baystate Noble Hospital to provide individualized treatment programs for patients 18 years and older recovering from life-altering injuries or illnesses. The program offers comprehensive therapy services including physical, occupational, and speech therapy to help patients regain function and independence.

Requirements

• Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program
• Physical Therapist License in State
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Previous experience in Rehab setting

Responsibilities

• Evaluating patients and implementing medically prescribed physical therapy treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
• Conducting comprehensive assessments, establishing appropriate goals, and developing personalized interventions to restore function, reduce pain, prevent disability, and promote mobility.
• Implementing treatments that may include therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and the use of physical agents and assistive devices.
• Educating patients on injury prevention, ergonomics, and rehabilitation strategies.
• Supervising and delegating tasks to physical therapy assistants, students, and support personnel in accordance with clinical and regulatory standards.
• Continuously monitoring and documenting patient progress, and modifying plans as needed to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
