Requirements

• Licensed in the practicing state or a graduate of an approved Physical Therapist program actively working toward licensure.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills.
• Hold licensure as outlined by the Board of Physical Therapy in the employment state.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates residents and develops effective treatment plans.
• Obtains approval for service from the referring physician.
• Treats residents according to the physician's treatment plan.
• Participates in discharge planning.
• Records evaluation, treatment, and charges.
• Supervises Physical Therapist Assistants and Aides.
• Screens residents for potential benefit from PT intervention.
