This full-time Physical Therapist position involves providing patient care assessment and treatment in both outpatient and inpatient settings. The therapist will maintain accurate patient documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, as well as patient/family education, charges, departmental statistics, and ICD-9 codes. The position also involves meeting department financial and productivity standards, understanding budgeted expectations, and adjusting schedules to meet patient and department needs. Participation in process management to optimize quality and efficiency, identification of quality and operational opportunities, and promotion of professional development and education of other healthcare workers are key aspects. The role includes conducting in-service training programs, supervising physical therapy and physical therapy assistant students, and communicating professionally with patients, physicians, staff, and external customers. Providing appropriate patient care in accordance with age/developmental guidelines and adhering to general hospital standards to promote a cooperative work environment are also essential.
